Vision & Concept

The 50 m² «Art Wall», designed by Zoé Alexa Ramseier, combines abstract art and a reinterpretation of traditional NZZ typography. The contemporary is combined with the established.

The frameless Venuro 2 sliding window was integrated into the concept in order to realise a minimalist, timeless design that provides a focus on the sculptures and an clear view of the «Art Wall».

materials

The Mingerie-certified, frameless Venuro 2 sliding window consists of a highly insulating fibreglass frame which ensures high-energy efficiency. The transitions from inside to outside are floor level due to rail fillers.

100% individual

The NZZ Atrium Lounge is unique and has an distinctive identity - like the Venuro window system specially manufactured for it.

The precise sliding of the windows ensures smooth and quiet operation, which emphasises the exclusive character of Venuro 2.

Function and beauty
on an equal footing

Large, abstract shapes and organic elements such as the large, mushroom-shaped sculptures characterise the architecture of the NZZ Atrium Lounge. Designed in black and white, it gives the space a modern, strong and timeless aesthetic.

The heart of the concept is the 50 m² “Art Wall” designed by Zoé Alexa Ramseier, which gives the atrium an distinctive identity with an abstract interpretation of traditional NZZ typography.
